Wade
Pastor Wade Killinger grew up in Stockbridge, Michigan, where his father worked as a dairy farmer. Although the family had modest means, his parents faithfully nurtured a home filled with love, faith, and the knowledge of Christ—values that shaped his heart for ministry from an early age.
A 1996 graduate of Stockbridge High School, Pastor Wade was called into pastoral ministry with the Free Methodist Church, serving for many years until 2012. After stepping away for a season to face significant life challenges, he discovered that God was using that time to prepare him for renewed purpose. In 2020, he began pursuing further theological education through Indiana Wesleyan University and will graduate in December 2025. He is also on track to be ordained in the Wesleyan Church in the summer of 2026.
Pastor Wade married his wife, Denise, on February 21, 2014. Together, they share a life grounded in faith, mutual support, and a love for their family. They have five children, four of whom are adults living independently, and a son, Elijah, who will soon begin his junior year of high school. Elijah runs cross country and track, and Pastor Wade enjoys cheering him on whenever he competes.
Outside of ministry, he is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hunting and fishing. He is also a dedicated fan of the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions, and Michigan State Spartans.
Pastor Wade is honored to serve as the pastor of Saginaw Wesleyan Church and is excited to see how God will work in and through the congregation in the days ahead.
