Two Are Better Than One
“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work. If one falls down his friend can help him up. But pity the man who falls and has no one to help him up! Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”
Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
When God created us, He knew that one was not enough. He made Adam and knew that Adam needed Eve. We need each other for support, love, and companionship. God knew that from the beginning.
I believe that God created the church so that we could be the kind of support for each other that Jesus modeled with His disciples on earth. He showed us that real friendship includes patience when the other is wrong, forgiveness when the other hurts us, and honesty even when it’s hard.
We need on another. Let me encourage each of you to be in Church on Sunday mornings to worship God together. There is no other place like this place, so this must be the place! So many of us call Saginaw Wesleyan Church their Church. Then let’s come to Church on Sundays to prove that we are His people attending His Church.
We can let so many things come into our lives to keep us away from Church and God. But… we can also determine that we need to be in the House of God on Sunday mornings to worship Him. See you next Sunday!
